Europe: Part 1...Monaco

Earlier this Fall, Chris mentioned to me that Audi was having it's international dealer meeting in Monaco. My first thought? "Seriously?!? Think you might be able to pack me in your suitcase??". Turns out, spouses were welcome (yayy!), hence this post. We decided to make a 10 day European vacation out of it - traveling to Monaco for three days, followed by Paris for three days, and last but not least, Rome for 2 days.

But, let's start with Monaco. Chris had to spend some time in meetings, however one of them included driving the new A6 through Cannes, France...not too shabby. Audi had "events" set up to keep the spouses "occupied" (so to speak), such as a shopping trip to Nice, France, visiting a perfumerie in the little town of Eze, and touring the cathedral where Grace Kelly was married. Did you know that it is one of the smallest countries in the world; it is one square mile...but it is one square mile of gorgeous landscaping and beautiful architecture.

A singer by the name of Aura Dione performed that night. Afraid we had never heard of her, but apparently if you live in the UK, you might know her? Either way, enjoyed it!

Toured the prince's private collection of antique cars...Chris was in heaven!



Made a visit to the Monte Carlo Casino. It was beautiful, but a bit different from the American take on a casino. There were no loud slot machines, only silent ones. And it was apparently high rollers only... we couldn't afford to play, but fun to watch!


Toured a museum of Chagall's work. It was amazing!!
