What’s in a name?

I can now add another plaque to the wall and shout to the world that I am an Occupational Therapist. Well… almost, just one little thing left to do. Pass the mother of all exams in the OT world, so I may sign client’s charts with a beautiful signature, topped off with OTR. Currently, I would have to sign my name as Layne Childs, Almost OTR.

So, Hooray for graduation and Cheers to the last few weeks spent doing the things I longed to do throughout my past 6 months as an intern. I suppose during that time, I read one too many Real Simple magazines, because the things I wanted to do included organizing the spices in my pantry from A-Z, painting rooms in the house, and purging the junk that filled my closets. Now that I am organized to the point that I can’t remember where I categorically stored everything, I believe it is time for me to get rid of the “Almost” in my name, pull on my study attire, brew a big cup of tea, and work my way through the archive of books sitting in my guest room bookcase. Cross your fingers and say a prayer please, so I can become Layne Childs, Finally OTR.
